Wholesale electric scooter terms depend on the type of order. Available stock can be purchased without a production MOQ, and sample orders are normally supplied from stock. A standard production order usually starts at 30 units per model. Standard configurations can normally be completed and made ready for shipment within 20 days after BENBAO receives the deposit. Custom production takes longer, with the schedule determined by the work required.
Do not compare quotations from the unit price alone. First establish whether the offer covers stock, a sample, standard production or a custom configuration. Then check the exact specification, Incoterm, payment schedule, packing and spare-parts allowance.
Match the commercial terms to the order type
The table below summarizes BENBAO’s normal working terms. Final terms remain subject to the selected model, available stock, configuration, destination and written quotation.

These are planning references rather than unconditional promises. The pro forma invoice and sales contract should state the quantity, specification, delivery term, payment schedule and agreed production window for the actual order.
When an electric scooter order has no MOQ
MOQ applies to production, not to every transaction. If BENBAO has a suitable model and configuration in stock, a buyer may purchase the available quantity without meeting the normal production MOQ. This can work for a sample, an urgent replacement or a small market test.
Stock is not reserved by an inquiry or an unfinished quotation. The units are secured when full payment is received. Before paying, ask the sales team to reconfirm:
- model and color;
- motor, controller, battery and charger specification;
- quantity still available;
- condition and packing;
- dispatch route and estimated delivery schedule;
- documents supplied with the order.
An available unit may not match every target-market requirement. Treat stock as a specific configuration, not as a blank platform that can be changed without a new production order.
Production MOQ: 30 units per model
For normal production, BENBAO’s working MOQ is 30 units per model, subject to the selected model, configuration and packing plan. Colors from the standard palette have no separate color MOQ within an eligible model order. A custom color outside our standard palette normally requires 30 units in that color.
Mixed-model container loading may be discussed, but it does not automatically remove the MOQ for each production model. The practical loading plan depends on vehicle dimensions, packing method and whether the order is shipped as complete vehicles or in a knocked-down format.
Send the proposed model mix before asking for a final price. A supplier cannot confirm purchasing, production or container use accurately from a total quantity alone.
Sample orders usually come from stock
Most sample orders use available stock because producing one or two custom units would interrupt normal purchasing and production. A stock sample lets the buyer review build quality, riding position, controls, charging and the general vehicle platform before discussing a larger order.
Sample orders are normally paid in full. When a DDP route is available, the payment covers the vehicle, freight and the DDP charges shown in the quotation. DDP availability and cost depend on the destination, route, vehicle and battery-shipping requirements, so it must be confirmed for each shipment.
A stock sample does not approve every detail of a later custom order. If the bulk order changes the motor, controller, battery, brakes, body parts or other components, the revised configuration needs its own written confirmation and, where appropriate, another sample or pre-production unit.
Standard and custom production have different lead times
For a standard configuration, BENBAO normally plans to complete production and have the order ready for shipment within 20 days after receiving the deposit. This is the factory lead time, not the arrival time at the destination. The starting point matters: the clock does not begin with the first inquiry, catalog request or verbal confirmation.
Light customization normally takes about 30 days. This may include agreed colors, graphics or other appearance changes that use an established vehicle platform.
Deeper technical customization generally requires 30–45 days. Changes to motor power, controller settings, battery matching or other performance-related components cannot be treated as a cosmetic adjustment. The revised vehicle may need engineering review and testing for performance, stability, heat management and suitability for the intended market.
The final schedule should be confirmed after the specification is agreed. Delays in artwork approval, component selection, sample feedback or payment can move the delivery date even when factory capacity is available.
Does customization increase the price?
Some color, decal and other light appearance changes do not normally carry a separate customization service fee when the order meets the applicable MOQ. That does not mean every custom vehicle costs the same as the standard version.
Price may change when the request affects:
- materials or finishes;
- motor, controller, battery or charger;
- brakes, tires, suspension or other purchased components;
- tooling, molds or low-volume parts;
- testing, documentation or special packing.
Ask the supplier to itemize any engineering, tooling or component difference from the vehicle price. This makes a one-off development cost easier to distinguish from the recurring unit cost.

Payment terms for production and samples
Standard production orders normally use T/T payment with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% is paid before container loading. The quotation or contract should state the bank details, currency, payment milestones and the documents or production evidence supplied before the balance falls due.
Sample and small stock orders are normally paid in full because the quantity is limited and the units are secured from existing stock. If DDP is quoted, confirm that the invoice shows the product and logistics charges included in the total.
FOB, EXW and DDP are not interchangeable prices
Around 70%–80% of BENBAO’s current export orders are handled on FOB terms. Under FOB, BENBAO carries out the export clearance and delivers the goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment. The buyer arranges the main international carriage and handles the destination-side import process and charges.
Under EXW, BENBAO makes the packed goods available at the named factory or warehouse location. The buyer normally arranges collection, loading where applicable, export clearance, international transport and import clearance. EXW can appear cheaper because fewer logistics tasks are included in the seller’s price.
DDP is used selectively for samples and some spare-parts shipments when a workable route is available. It is quoted separately because destination, battery classification, duties, taxes and delivery conditions can change the cost substantially.
Always include the named place or port and the agreed Incoterms® 2020 rule in the quotation. “FOB price” without a named port is incomplete.
How the 1% spare-parts allowance works
For bulk orders, BENBAO’s standard spare-parts allowance is based on 1% of the FOB contract goods value, subject to the project agreement. BENBAO prepares a proposed spare-parts list and states the total value. The buyer may select preferred parts within the agreed allowance.
The final list should reflect the model mix and the parts that local service teams are most likely to need. Confirm part names, quantities and compatibility before shipment rather than requesting a generic assortment.
The spare parts travel with the container. They are normally packed inside a designated vehicle carton, and the carton is marked externally so the buyer can locate it after unloading. The packing list and shipment records should identify the arrangement.
What a comparable FOB quotation should show
Two quotations are not comparable unless they describe the same vehicle and the same commercial scope. Ask each supplier to state:
- exact model and configuration;
- motor, controller, battery and charger;
- brakes, tires and key components;
- color, graphics and branding;
- quantity by model and color;
- stock, standard production or custom-production status;
- unit price and currency;
- named Incoterm and port or place;
- packing method and loading plan;
- production lead time and its starting event;
- payment terms;
- spare-parts allowance;
- supplied export and battery-shipping documents;
- quotation validity.
A lower unit price may exclude export clearance, stronger packing, a larger battery or parts included elsewhere. Compare the complete commercial package before negotiating the final number.

- destination country and port;
- intended sales channel and use case;
- preferred models or required vehicle type;
- quantity by model;
- color mix;
- target motor, speed, battery and range;
- standard or custom configuration;
- CBU, SKD or CKD preference;
- FOB, EXW or a sample DDP request;
- target order date and required arrival window;
- branding, packing and spare-parts requirements;
- documents required for shipping and the destination market.
